Executive Officers

Marc A. Stefanski
President and Chief Executive Officer
Marc A. Stefanski joined Third Federal Savings and Loan in 1982 and was appointed Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer in 1987, succeeding his father in these positions. He was elected President of Third Federal Savings and Loan and the Company in 2000. Mr. Stefanski’s parents, Ben and Gerome Stefanski, founded Third Federal Savings and Loan in 1938.
Judith Z. Adam
Chief Risk Officer
Judith Z. Adam joined the Association as a Vice President in 2000 and was named Chief Risk Officer in January 2015. During her time with the Association, Ms. Adam has managed the Accounting, Internet Services and Loan Production teams. Ms. Adam’s 28 years in the banking industry have included serving in various accounting roles at TransOhio Savings Bank and Metropolitan Bank & Trust.
Paul J. Huml
Chief Financial Officer
Paul J. Huml joined Third Federal Savings and Loan as a Vice President in 1998, was appointed Chief Operating Officer of TFS Financial Corporation in 2002, and Chief Accounting Officer of Third Federal in 2009. Mr. Huml was named Chief Financial Officer in 2018. Prior to joining Third Federal, Mr. Huml spent 10 years in the hotel industry, focusing on the areas of finance, real estate development and risk management. Mr. Huml is a certified public accountant in the state of Ohio.
Anna Maria P. Motta
Chief Information Officer
Anna M. Motta joined the Association in 1989 and was named Chief Information Officer in 2014. During her time with the Association, Ms. Motta has managed a number of different operational areas including Northeast Ohio Retail Operations, Customer Service, Internet Services, Loan Servicing, Default Servicing, Deposit Operations, and Information Services. Ms. Motta’s more than 30 years in the banking industry also included serving as Treasurer of Park View Federal Savings and Loan, in Cleveland, Ohio, from 1987 to 1989.
Meredith S. Weil
Chief Operating Officer
Meredith S. Weil joined Third Federal Savings and Loan in 1999, was named Chief Operating Officer of Third Federal in 2012 and Chief Operating Officer of TFS Financial Corporation in 2018. She has also served as a member of the board of directors since 2014. Prior to her current role she held several senior management positions within Third Federal, including regional manager of retail delivery operations, as well as the head of customer service, internet services and marketing. She has worked in the banking industry since 1992, and is a member of the board of trustees of both The Cleveland Orchestra and Hawken School.

Cathy W. Zbanek
Chief Marketing and Human Resources Officer
Cathy W. Zbanek joined the Association in 2001 and was named the Chief Marketing and Human Resources Officer in January 2013. In her role, Ms. Zbanek is responsible for fostering the internal synergy of the organization as well as customer engagement. Prior to her current position, she directed several of the company’s key strategic business projects as well as systems design and development. She also managed several Third Federal departments, including Customer Service and Marketing. Before joining the Association, Ms. Zbanek served as a senior consultant with Waterstone Consulting, working in their Management Consulting Group. Her experience also includes working with the consulting group, Price Waterhouse Coopers. She holds a BA in Economics and Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Anthony J. Asher
Anthony J. Asher currently serves as the Chairman of Weston, Inc., a real estate ownership firm that is the largest industrial property owner in the Cleveland, Ohio area, which Mr. Asher founded in 1971. Prior to organizing Weston, Mr. Asher founded Guardian Title Company in 1963.
Martin J. Cohen
Martin J. Cohen has been a managing partner of H & M Management Company since 1975 and is manager and part owner of nine apartment complexes. He has managed and owned numerous other commercial properties.
Robert A. Fiala
Robert A. Fiala is founding partner of the architecture firm, ThenDesign, which he founded in 1989 and currently ranked as one of the largest design firms on northern Ohio. He is also the Mayor of the City of Willoughby, Ohio, and a previous member of its City Council.
William C. Mulligan
William C. Mulligan has served as the Managing Director of Primus Venture Partners, a private equity firm, since 1987. Mr. Mulligan joined Primus Venture Partners in 1985 from McKinsey & Company, Inc., the international management consulting firm. His previous work experience includes management positions at Deere and Company and First Chicago Corporation. Mr. Mulligan serves as a director of several private companies and two public companies, Universal Electronics, Inc. and Golf Galaxy.
Terrence R. Ozan
Terrence R. Ozan serves on the board of directors of multiple privately held companies. He retired from the board of Capgemini in 2014 after 14 years of service. Capgemini provides consulting, technology and outsourcing services around the world. Prior to his retirement in 2003, Mr. Ozan served as CEO of North American operations and was an executive member of the Capgemini Global Management Committee. Before that time, Mr. Ozan was CEO of worldwide consulting services for Ernst & Young, serving on various boards and governance committees. In his nearly 30-year career at Ernst & Young, he also directed many different US business units of the organization.
John P. Ringenbach
John P. Ringenbach has more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer of Third Federal from 1993, until his retirement in 2012. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Ringenbach was president of Commerce Exchange Bank from 1987 until 1993. Before that time, he spent 14 years at Ameritrust.
Ben S. Stefanski III
Ben S. Stefanski III has served as a Director of TFS Financial Corporation since February 2010. He joined Third Federal Savings and Loan and was named Secretary of the Company in 2018. Prior to joining Third Federal, he was Director of CRM and Omnichannel Strategy at Patagonia Works, (formerly Patagonia Inc.), an outdoor retail company. During his time at Patagonia from 2001-2017, Mr. Stefanski led a number of teams including the customer contact center and inventory management group.

Ashley H. Williams
Ashley H. Williams was named to the Board of Directors in 2018. Ms. Williams most recently served as Vice President of the Third Federal Foundation to support its education and community revitalization efforts. As Vice President of Institutional Equity Sales for Sandler O’Neill + Partners in New York, Ms. Williams regularly researched more than 300 US financial companies in her portfolio, and sold security offerings to institutional clients. Ms. Williams holds a BA from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
